Ugyen Yeshi Phuntsho is a 14-year-old Class 8 student at Gonpasingma Lower Secondary School in Pemagatshel. Originally from Zobel Gewog, he has lived with his elderly grandmother since infancy, with no knowledge of his parents or their whereabouts. His grandmother, struggling with poverty, is unable to provide for his basic needs. Thankfully, the school has stepped in to support him with essentials. Despite these hardships, Ugyen continues to shine academically and is recognized as a bright, motivated student with tremendous potential. With the right support, Ugyen can thrive in school and build a better future—not just for himself, but for the grandmother who has raised him with love against all odds.
